When you come to Anunson Chiropractic, you're not just another patient. You're a person who deserves to be treated with the utmost care and respect. We know that when you're in pain, it can be hard to think about anything else—but we want you to know that we're here for you.
We believe that it's not just the physical body that is affected by disease and illness. That's why we take a wholistic approach to chiropractic care. We see the connection between physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and chemical—and part of our contribution toward wholistic health also comes from our ability to utilize your body's natural abilities to heal itself instead of unnecessary drugs and medications.
We are Primary Care Providers who focus on solving health problems by identifying what is blocking your body's natural ability to heal itself. Some of the ways we use to make those necessary corrections are:
We're committed to providing you with the best possible care. This means that we need to make sure you understand what's going on in your body and why it's important to have regular adjustments. We believe that the more you understand about your spine, nerve system and its relationship to your overall health, the better you'll be armed at preventing any unnecessary relapses or degenerative changes. It's as simple as that!
Because chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful practice member relationships is to explain everything in advance. We want you to know exactly what we're doing during treatment and why it will be beneficial for you. This way there are no surprises when you come into our office, and we can get right down to business without any misunderstandings or miscommunications getting in our way!
At Anunson Chiropractic, we understand that you may have questions about your first visit. We've prepared this guide so you can be fully prepared for what to expect when you come in for your first appointment, which is typically about one hour.
Once inside the office we will take some time to discuss your specific concerns and goals with regard to chiropractic care. If there are any special circumstances such as pregnancy or other health issues that need to be addressed, then we will discuss those as well.
A trained and certified member of our staff will get your detailed history. This is so the doctor has a clear understanding of your past and present complaints as well as any pertinent health history. Madison Chiropractor, Dr. Anunson will then consult with you regarding your primary goals and purpose for your visit to determine the next step. Following consultation, the doctor will proceed with the examination. At that time our exam tech will also complete a Myovision exam, which allows us to test for imbalances in your spine.
Depending on what Dr. Anunson finds during the exam, it may be necessary to x-ray the spine. If so, this is most often completed the same day with minimal delay.
Following the exams Dr. Anunson will report with you his exam findings and outline a solution if he deems chiropractic can help. If after relating those findings, you’re ready to begin care, we can start care the same day. Dr. Anunson will then explain his adjustment procedures, addressing any questions you may have and prepare you for an adjustment.
After your adjustment, Dr. Anunson will recommend any home care instructions and our trained staff will then assist you in completing your visit to check out.
When you arrive, you will sign in at the front desk. We will let you know when you can take a table, which is usually within five to ten minutes. One of our techs will walk you through the process of preparing for an adjustment.
After your adjustment, Dr. Anunson will recommend your next appointment and any home care instructions. Once checked out, the average time out of your day spent in our office is 10-15 minutes.
